When Dad died, I was the first to get to the hospital. Bruce and Dad were friends and coworkers, he took Dad to the hospital and stayed with him until the end. He would alternate being with Dad and checking on me. He never told me how bad it was, but I could see it on his face. When Mom got there, he took care of her by finding a room she could be in. He stayed with us the full time. At Dad’s funeral, he told me that he needed to tell me something, but he couldn’t right then. Through the years, I seen him alll the time, but he never said. He came out of the ER room, and asked me if I wanted him to take me in. I couldn’t goin to see my Dad in the condition. I thought he was going to tell me that Dad had asked for me. He seen Janice after your Mom passed. He thought she was me. He told her that Dad had asked him to help him and he couldn’t. Lord knows he did, he was with him through the end, he took care of his little girl, as Dad called us, took care and told Mom what she had to do because he was at Sears when he had the attack. He was amazing man, and I will never forget his devotion to his friend and the help he gave me.
