Noah L. Nichols., age 83, of Pikeville, KY, passed away on December 9, 2019. Noah was born in Pike County, KY. on August 10, 1936, to his parents the late Alfred Nichols and Viola “Justice” Simpkins. Whenever Noah wasn’t working as a coal miner to help us keep our lights on, he was also a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Besides both parents, Noah is preceded in death by his wife: Maggie “Runyon” Nichols, 3 sisters: Rosetta Williamson, Luvetta Goff, and Christiann Fleming. He is survived by his loving children: Lloyd (Shelia) Nichols, James Nichols, Bill (Karen) Slone, and Kenneth (Janice) Slone. Noah is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Bradley (Catrena) Slone, Stacie (Todd) Elliot, Kenetha Rose, Daniel Slone, Tyler Holbrooks, Devan Nichols, Camelia Nichols, Emma Nichols, Noah Thornbury, and Adam Thornbury; and 8 great-grandchildren: Caleb, Josh, Eli, Dawson, Kyle, Andrew, Maggie, and Sam; 2 sisters Seigel (Brad) May, Elizabeth Hamilton, and 1 brother David (Linda) Nichols, two brother in laws Clyde Goff, and Brian Fleming, and a host of loving family and friends.
Noah will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation for Noah will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 & Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 6:00pm, with services to follow at the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services for Noah will be on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 11:00am at the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home with Robbie Worrix and others officiating. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, KY.
